We coat optical fibers with a special black polyimide coating. These fibers can work at elevated temperatures up to 300°C. Polyimide coated optical fibers will work best in applications, where standard acrylate coating is no longer sufficient and where metal coatings are not a must.
Our polyimide layers on optical fibers are approximately 7 μm thick. These optical fibers have a typical attenuation of 0.7 dB/km.
