Metal coatings with minimum attenuation

We have developed unique technology, which introduces minimum optical losses. This technology can be applied to standard optical fibers and to fibers provided by a customer. We can provide metal coated optical fiber with length of hundreds of meters. We can also metallize very short fragments of less than 10 cm as well. See our selection of coating metals.

Our Copper and Gold coated optical fibers may exhibit attenuation lower than 5 dB/km, while Nickel coated optical fibers may exhibit attenuation lower than 20 dB/km for SMF and MMF.

Our Nickel coated optical fibers have been successfully tested during long annealing at high temperatures. We recommend using this type of coating for such extreme conditions for reasons, which can be found below.
